Defining and managing quality at a biorefinery
During a long-time customer’s comprehensive audit of our Tartas biorefinery, the focus sharpened onto one critical question: “How can we define and manage quality?” Since product and service performance are givens – the price of entry with any customer – the discussion extended to include Tembec’s supply chain, process management, carbon footprint and even our health & safety program. In brief, total quality.
So we listened and learned about the strong points in our operations and way of doing business, and about areas where we can improve. And both sides agreed to ensure ongoing exchanges between our respective quality teams, to share best practices.
